Part Two : Those who authenticated it
Welcome to our blog!
We read in Sahih al-Bukhari that Sayyida al-Zahra س was angry with Abu Bakr and her anger remained until she passed away :
Narrated A’isha:
After the death of Rasul-Allah, Fatima the daughter of Rasul-Allah ﷺ asked Abu Bakr to give her, her share of inheritance from what Rasul-Allah ﷺ had left of the Fai’ which Allah had given him. Abu Bakr said to her, “Rasul-Allah said, ‘Our property will not be inherited, whatever we leave is charity” Fatima, the daughter of Rasul-Allah ﷺ got ANGRY and stopped speaking to Abu Bakr until she passed away.
~Sahih al-Bukhari 3092,3093.

It is well known in both Shia-Sunni sources that Allah is angry with those with whom al-Zahra is angry and He is pleased with those with whom al-Zahra is pleased, but the Nawasib as usual try to propagate that this narration is weak or fabricated, not based upon evidence but based upon Ta’ssub & Nisb.
Let us see what the Shaykh al-Islam of the Nawasib, Ibn Taymiyyah al-Harrani said about it :
ﻭﺭﻭﻭا ﺟﻤﻴﻌﺎ ﺃﻥ اﻟﻨﺒﻲ ﷺ ﻗﺎﻝ: ﻳﺎ ﻓﺎﻃﻤﺔ ﺇﻥ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻳﻐﻀﺐ ﻟﻐﻀﺒﻚ، ﻭﻳﺮﺿﻰ ﻟﺮﺿﺎﻙ, ﻓﻬﺬا ﻛﺬﺏ ﻣﻨﻪ…ﻭﻻ ﻳﻌﺮﻑ ﻫﺬا ﻓﻲ ﺷﻲء ﻣﻦ ﻛﺘﺐ اﻟﺤﺪﻳﺚ اﻟﻤﻌﺮﻭﻓﺔ، ﻭﻻ ﻟﻪ ﺇﺳﻨﺎﺩ ﻣﻌﺮﻭﻑ ﻋﻦ اﻟﻨﺒﻲ ﷺ ﻻ ﺻﺤﻴﺢ ﻭﻻ ﺣﺴﻦ
And the narration that the Prophet ﷺ said ‘O Fatimah, Allah is angry at what makes you angry and He ﷻ is pleased with what pleases you.’ This is a lie, and it is not found in any renowned book of hadith; its chain is neither Sahih nor Hasan.
~Minhaj al-Sunnah vol 4:248-249.

So, as we checked according to Shaykh al-Nawasib Ibn Taymiyyah this hadith is NOT-KNOWN in any famous books nor is Sahih or Hasan.
Ibn Taymiyyah said it’s not in any famous book of hadith but it’s narrated in Mustadarak of al-Haakim, al-Mu’jam al-Kabir of at-Tabarani, also by Ibn Abi Aasim, Abu Ya’ala al-Musalli, Abu Nuaym al-Isfahani and etc
Part One : The Narration
ﺛﻨﺎ ﻋﺒﺪ اﻟﻠﻪ ﺑﻦ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﺑﻦ ﺳﺎﻟﻢ اﻟﻘﺰاﺯ، ﻗﺎﻝ: ﺛﻨﺎ ﺣﺴﻴﻦ ﺑﻦ ﺯﻳﺪ ﺑﻦ ﻋﻠﻲ، ﻭﻋﻠﻲ ﺑﻦ ﻋﻤﺮ ﺑﻦ ﻋﻠﻲ، ﻋﻦ ﺟﻌﻔﺮ ﺑﻦ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ، ﻋﻦ ﺃﺑﻴﻪ، ﻋﻦ ﻋﻠﻲ ﺑﻦ اﻟﺤﺴﻴﻦ، ﻋﻦ اﻟﺤﺴﻴﻦ ﺑﻦ ﻋﻠﻲ، ﻋﻦ ﻋﻠﻲ ﻗﺎﻝ: ﻗﺎﻝ ﺭﺳﻮﻝ اﻟﻠﻪ ﷺ ﻟﻔﺎﻃﻤﺔ: ﺇﻥ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻳﻐﻀﺐ ﻟﻐﻀﺒﻚ ﻭﻳﺮﺿﻰ ﻟﺮﺿﺎﻙ
Abd-Allah ibn Muhammad al-Qazzaz said it’s narrated from Husayn ibn Zayd ibn Ali (Zayn al-Abideen) *AND* Ali ibn Umar ibn Ali (Zayn al-Abideen) on the authority of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq who narrated from Imam Muhammad al-Baqir who narrated from Imam Zayn al-Abideen on the authority of Imam al-Husayn who narrated from Imam Ali that Sayyidna Rasulullah ﷺ said to Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra :
“Allah is angry at what makes you angry and He ﷻ is pleased with what pleases you.”
~al-Mu’jam al-Kabir at-Tabarani vol 22:401.

• All of its narrators are the narrators of the Ahl al-Bayt, all of them are Thiqah except Husayn the son of Hazrat Zayd Ibn Zayn al-Abideen. Some criticise him, but it’s a Jarah unexplained with no evidence and even if he is to be rejected al-Qazzaz narrated from both Husayn ibn Zayd AND Ali ibn Umar ibn Zayd and Ali ibn Umar is Thiqah in hadith and a narrator of Sahih Muslim.
• Even Allamah adh-Dhabhi agreed in Meezan al-Aetidal vol 2:492 that both Husayn ibn Zayd AND Ali ibn Umar narrated it from Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq.

• Further, we have the likes of al-Daraqutni, al-Haakim, Ibn Adee’ al-Jurjani, al-Bayhaqi, at-Tabarani, al-Haythami, ibn Hajr al-Asqalani and etc who accepted al-Husayn ibn Zayd’s narrations, yet he alone isn’t narrating it but with Ali ibn Umar ibn Zayn al-Abideen from Imam Ja’far
• The Emir al-Mu’meenin fee al-Hadith of the Sunnis, al-Daraqutni was asked about al-Husayn Ibn Zayd Ibn Ali, He said : He is Thiqah (Trustworthy)
~al-Jami’ fee al-Jarh wa al-Ta’deel vol 1:172
•Hafidh Ibn Hajr al-Asqalani mentioned :
اﻟﺤﺴﻴﻦ اﺑﻦ ﺯﻳﺪ اﺑﻦ ﻋﻠﻲ اﺑﻦ اﻟﺤﺴﻴﻦ اﺑﻦ ﻋﻠﻲ اﺑﻦ ﺃﺑﻲ ﻃﺎﻟﺐ ﺻﺪﻭﻕ ﺭﺑﻤﺎ ﺃﺧﻄﺄ
al-Husayn the son of Zayd the son of Zayn al-Abideen the son of Imam Husayn the son of Imam Ali was SUDOOQ (truthful) but inclined towards mistakes.
~Taqrib al-Tahdheeb page 150

We also have another sanad with all of the narrators being the Imam from Ahlul Bait :
It was reported by at-Tabarani who narrated from Ahmad ibn Sinan al-Wasti who narrated from Abd-Allah Ibn Ishaq who narrated from Abd-Allah Ibn Ahmad at-Tai’i who narrated from his father Ahmad ibn Ammar at-Tai’i who narrated from Imam Ali al-Ridha who narrated from Imam Musa al-Kadhim who narrated from Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq who narrated from Imam Muhammad al-Baqir who narrated from Imam Zayn al-Abideen who narrated from Imam al-Husayn who narrated from Imam Ali that Sayyidna Rasul-Allah ﷺ said:
“Allah is angry at what makes Fatimah angry and He ﷻ is pleased with what pleases her.”
~Zahr al-Firdous vol 2:569-570

• Allamah Muhib al-Deen at-Tabari commented after mentioning this Hadith :
ﻭاﻻﻣﺎﻡ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺑﻦ ﻣﻮﺳﻰ اﻟﺮﺿﺎ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺴﻨﺪﻩ
And al-Imam Ali Ibn Musa al-Ridha ع collected this Hadith is his Musnad.
~Zakha’ir al-Uqba fee Manaqib zaw al-Qurba page 82-83

•Hafidh ibn Hajr al-Asqalani said :
وأخرج ابن أبي عاصم….بسند من أهل البيت
And Ibn Abi Aasim took it from the sanad of the Ahlul Bait.
~al-Isabah fee Tamiz al-Sahabah vol 8:266

Part Two : Those who authenticated it
Ibn Taymiyyah also said the chain is neither Sahih nor Hasan, let us examine that :
1) Imam al-Haakim said :
This hadith is with a SAHIH chain but they (Bukhari & Muslim) didn’t record it.
~al-Mustadarak ala al-Sahihayn 4730

2) Hafidh Nur ad-Deen al-Haythami said about this hadith :
رواه الطبراني، وإسناده حسن
at-Tabarani narrated it and it’s chain is HASAN.
~Majmaa’ al-Zawaid vol 9:203

3) Hafidh Abu Nu’aym al-Isfahani took this Hadith in his book ‘Fadhail al-Khulafa al-Rashideen’ advocating the virtue of this Hadith, also in his book Ma’arifat al-Sahabah vol 1:93 he comments :
ﺗﻔﺮﺩ ﺑﺮﻭاﻳﺔ ﻫﺬا اﻟﺤﺪﻳﺚ اﻟﻌﺘﺮﺓ اﻟﻄﻴﺒﺔ ﺧﻠﻔﻬﻢ ﻋﻦ ﺳﻠﻔﻬﻢ ﺣﺘﻰ ﻳﻨﺘﻬﻲ ﺇﻟﻰ اﻟﻨﺒﻲ ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ
This narration is exclusively narrated by the pure progeny (of the Prophet) from their ancestors until it reached the Prophet ﷺ

4) Allamah Jalal al-Deen al-Suyuti said :
وسنده حسن
And it’s chain is HASAN.
~al-Jami’ al-Kabeer vol 2:259

5) Allamah al-Zurqani said :
at-Tabarani took this in his al-Awsat with a SAHIH chain upon the condition of al-Shaykhayn (Bukhari & Muslim)
~Sharh al-Mawahib al-Laduniyyah vol 4:33

6) Allamah Ibn al-Maghazili mentioned this Hadith in his book ‘Manaqib Emir al-Mu’meenin Ali’ Hadith no.406 and in the introduction of the book at page 52 he mentions :
ﻓﺠﻤﻌﺖ ﻓﻲ ﻓﻀﺎﺋﻠﻬﻢ ﻣﺎ اﻧﺘﻬﺖ ﺇﻟﻴﻪ ﻣﻌﺮﻓﺘﻲ، ﻭﺑﻠﻐﻪ ﺟﻬﺪﻱ ﻭﻃﺎﻗﺘﻲ، ﻣﻤﺎ ﺃﻧﺰﻝ اﻟﻠﻪ ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ ﻓﻴﻬﻢ ﻣﻦ اﻵﻳﺎﺕ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺴﻮﺭاﺕ، ﻭﻣﺎ ﺟﺮﻯ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻟﻔﻆ اﻟﺮﺳﻮﻝ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺪﻻﻻﺕ، ﻭﻣﺎ ﻇﻬﺮ ﻣﻨﻬﻢ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﻌﺠﺰاﺕ، ﻣﺎ ﻻ ﻳﻤﻜﻦ اﻟﻤﻨﺼﻒ ﺑﻌﻘﻠﻪ ﺇﻧﻜﺎﺭﻩ
I have collected in this book the Fadhail of the Ahlul Bait of what was well known to me, about what Allah ﷻ revealed about them in the Qur’an and what was reported from the words of Rasul-Allah ﷺ and their apparent miracles, what a FAIR-MINDED person cannot deny.

So, my question to all my Sunni brothers and sisters, how can someone be “Radi-Allah” when al-Zahra is angry at them?

mashallah you are doing a great work. I’m a graphic Designer. I can help you if you want my help in anything and I’m also a debater so i have scans.just let me know if you want my help
